ERika Moss, LLMSW
Limited Licensed Master Social Worker
Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to create an environment where you can be yourself without fear of judgment while we work together toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, curiosity, and collaboration.
I see therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your own life’s experience, and my role is to provide guidance, evidence-based tools, and an effective perspective as we work toward your goals. I strive to help clients recognize the strengths they already possess while developing new skills to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
Personal Statement
Practice Philosophy & Treatment Approach
My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected, and by increasing awareness of these patterns, we can begin making intentional changes that improve emotional well-being and overall quality of life.
Every client brings a unique story and set of experiences to therapy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to each individual's needs, values, and goals. I value collaboration and encourage clients to move at a pace that feels both comfortable and appropriately challenging. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help clients build practical skills, increase self-understanding, and create lasting changes that extend beyond the therapy room.
Treatment Focus & Specialty
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma-related concerns. While I enjoy supporting clients through a variety of life experiences, I have a particular passion for trauma treatment.
I have specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I enjoy helping clients explore how difficult experiences continue to influence the way they think about themselves, others, and the world while supporting them in developing healthier, more balanced perspectives. Whether we're processing trauma or addressing everyday stressors, my goal is to help clients feel more empowered, connected, and confident in moving forward.
My Unique Contribution to the Meaningful Change Team
I have a particular passion for trauma therapies because I have witnessed how profoundly trauma can impact a person’s life and how much positive change can come through effective treatment. I want to help clients process what they have experienced, reclaim parts of their lives that may have been disrupted by trauma, and develop a sense of confidence and hope for the future. I have rarely seen these changes to be as profound as they are in the treatment of traumatic experiences.
Personally and as a professional, I enjoy helping clients make sense of their experiences while balancing practical skill-building with genuine compassion and curiosity. My hope is that clients leave each session feeling supported, challenged in helpful ways, and increasingly confident in their ability to navigate whatever life brings. I care deeply about creating a supportive therapeutic relationship, while also believing that therapy should help people move forward meaningfully, rather than remaining stuck in painful and often dysfunctional patterns.
